Major Achievements

Katibeh Interdisciplinary Language and Cultural Research Group has successfully organized over twenty one-day meetings, workshops and seminars by inviting national and international guest speakers and workshop leaders. It has also organized two national conferences in 2012 and 2015 and is currently organizing the third one of the conference series on interdisciplinary approaches to language teaching, literature and translation studies due in October 2017 (links here).

Katibeh-ILCRG also publishes an open-access, peer-reviewed journal, International Journal of Society, Culture & Language (IJSCL) since October 2017. IJSCL publishes original research and review articles on the relationship between society, culture, and language with visible practical applications that can be used by specialists in anthropology, sociology, linguistics, education, translation and intercultural studies, and policy making.

The groups has also published several scholarly manuscripts and edited volumes, as well as over fifty empirical research articles in the Iranian and international journals.
