About Katibeh

Katibeh Interdisciplinary Language and Cultural Research Group is a non-profit scholarly organization established in 2012 and is dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of interdisciplinary research on languages in relation to intercultural communication, psychology, sociology and media. On the one hand, Katibeh has been aiming at awareness raising, exploring and creating opportunities in the Iranian scholarly environment to promote the necessity and possibilities of interdisciplinary research on languages by publishing empirical and conceptual research articles, as well as holding local and national workshops, seminars and conferences. It has also been publishing a peer-reviewed scholarly journal, International Journal of Society, Culture & Language, to reach beyond the national boundaries, for that matter. The group, on the other hand, has also been aiming at extending the practical applications of the scientific findings to the society and training talented students and mentoring early-career scholars.
